Product
– SMI Bone Wax is indicated to control bleeding on bone surfaces. It acts as a mechanical barrier to stop bleeding, exerting a haemostatic function.
Composition
– A mixture of whitened bee wax (80%) and isopropyl palmitate (20%).
– It is slightly yellowish and has a characteristic bee wax odour.

– Easy to shape and apply “hand-warm”
– Remains in place and does not swell
– Ready to use out of package

– Not soluble in corporal fluids

Contraindication
– Do not use where a rapid regeneration and bone melt is required.
Possible adverse effects
– May include foreign body reaction with inflammatory tissue reaction or increased susceptibility to infection.
