The latest addition to the EVOLOX® range has been developed with feline patients in mind, providing a complete osteosynthesis solution that combines polyaxial locking fixation with the ability to apply dual compression where appropriate.
The anatomically shaped plates feature a compression slot towards the shaped head, with locking holes that can accept both cortical and locking screws. All locking holes utilise the EVOLOX® polyaxial system, giving greater flexibility in screw trajectory.
Plates include cuttable sections to allow fitting to patient bone size, fracture site and fracture length encountered whilst avoiding compromising plate strength. A straight plate with repeating cortical and locking screw holes is also available where shaped heads are not desired.
The range includes J, Y, and T shapes. The J-shaped plate is best suited to the femur, whilst the Y- and T-shaped plates are intended to assist with the anatomy of the proximal tibia and distal radius.
All plates can accept hybrid 2.4/2.0mm locking screws, as well as cortical or locking 2.4mm or 2,7mm screws.
The intention is to have a feline osteosynthesis system that requires a small implant inventory to allow flexible treatment of long bone fractures utilising locking plate systems.
